Event Details
Once upon a time, many ancient marriages were by capture, not consent. From Queen Victoria to the brides of southern Wisconsin, this program looks at the traditions, superstitions, and customs influencing celebrity and society weddings, historical lakeshore extravaganzas, and local ceremonies over time. Presented by Chris Brookes of Black Point Estate Speakers Bureau, part of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
