Program Description

Event Details

The Illinois Art Education Association will be displaying 45 outstanding pieces of Kindergarten-12th grade Student Artwork on the upper level of the Woodstock Public Library during the month of July. These pieces were chosen as the best of the best by nine judges out of 581 submitted pieces of K-12th grade student artwork. Two of the displayed pieces include artists from the Crystal Lake school district.

The 2023-2024 IAEA Student Art Show display at the Woodstock Public Library is being coordinated by Kerry Parrish (Woodstock resident, Crystal Lake Central HS Art Teacher & IAEA President-Elect), Aaron Cummins (Woodstock resident, Prairie Ridge HS Art Teacher & IAEA Secondary School Division Coordinator), Judd Shutt (Crystal Lake Central Art Teacher) and Susan Tiemstra, IAEA Student Art Show Coordinator.

The student artists and their art teachers were honored at our IAEA Statewide Student Art Show Award Ceremony and Reception in October 2023 during the IAEA’s 75th Anniversary Conference. The traveling IAEA Student Art Show is being displayed throughout Illinois between May 2023-August 2024. The IAEA Mission is to advocate for K-12th Art Education in all schools in Illinois.
