Open House for Older Adult Reading Area

Join us as we celebrate the completion of our newest service offering, the Older Adult Reading Area, at a public event on Friday, April 29 at 1:00pm. The event will recognize project donors The Community Foundation for McHenry County, whose Transformational Grant funding brought in furnishings and shelving for an expanded Large Print Collection, and MBI Cares, Inc., who donated a baby grand piano for public use in the space. Light refreshments and piano music by Ray will be offered.

The Older Adult Reading Area offers easy access to the Large Print and Audiobook collection, and features comfortable seating, a magnifying reader, jigsaw puzzle table and exchange, and knitting/crocheting needle exchange and community knitting project, and piano.
