County Assessor - Alex Benitez, County Clerk - Joe Tirio, and County Treasurer Donna Kurtz are stopping by the library to lead a panel discussion on the ABCs of McHenry County Property Taxes. This presentation will help attendees with understanding your tax bill, applying for exemptions such as Senior Freeze and Homestead, how to appeal an assessment, how a tax bill is built, how voters change tax bills, and to how to set up fraud alert to protect your property. All participants will receive a reference guide to take notes and use at home.
